This is a community-led conversation centering the experiences of fat activists, fat advocates, and their co conspirators. They’ll share their questions about GLP-1s prescribed for weight loss. This event builds on our three-part educational series exploring informed consent, weight bias in research and healthcare, and ethical considerations in GLP-1 care. During this event, participants will engage via Slido, a web-based interactive polling and Q&A platform, to share insights and raise questions in real time. The event will focus on practical tools for self-advocacy, ways to find support, and helpful strategies. This is a space for truth-telling, reflection, and dreaming about more liberatory care practices. Everyone is welcome, especially those with lived experience navigating fatphobia in medical spaces.
