ASDAH Unconference

With this two-day Unconference, we have reimagined the format of previous conferences. Instead of reaching out of our immediate community to invite more well-known authors, thought leaders, etc., we want to center the voices, lived experiences, and expertise of you, our valued community made up of ASDAH Members, fat activists, fat advocates, and other co-conspirators. Instead of keynotes, we will have interactive discussions and short "lightening" talks that deepen our collective understanding of fat-affirming, socially just care and also help us just get to know each other better. We will explore a wide variety of topics, including clinical accessibility, weight stigma in the workplace, intersectional representation, and a lot more. We'll also examine the shifting DEI landscape and how it impacts us personally. The format encourages shared learning, collaboration, and critical reflection. It will also help shape our priorities for future programming. It will be a space for growth, connection, and reimagining care together.

Continuing Education will not be offered for this event.

After purchasing or registering for your ticket for this Virtual Event, you will be emailed a link that will allow you to join the live event. This event will require you to use Zoom. Please download any needed applications and check system requirements prior to the event.

Recorded Event

Main room sessions will be recorded (both audio and visual). By registering for this event, you consent to this recording. The recording will be available to the general public for 6 months after the presentation has ended.

Breakout rooms will not be recorded.
