New research on GLP-1 weight loss medications is coming out quickly. We’re learning about real-world outcomes with large patient cohorts. Unsurprisingly, Wegovy (semaglutide/Ozempic) and Zepbound (Tirzepatide/Mounjaro) are performing differently in real world settings. A recent large study of over 8,000 patients using clinical data found these medications to be less effective, with much higher rates of discontinuation, and being used much differently than in the phase 3 trials. Join us to unpack this study at our August members-only journal club.
